Dave Grohl's keynote with South by South West, started out with him explaining his love for music. He went on to talk about his childhood, and how he first recorded himself playing his own songs that were more often than not written about his father. He recorded his first multitrack recording at the age of 12. Dave started talking about his one friend, and how she had hundreds of vinyls of punk bands that were up and coming at that time. That was the moment when Dave decided to pick up his drums sticks and form a band. Dave dropped out of high school and then practiced for hours upon hours, with his band known as Nirvana. Dave went on in great detail about what music that was off the charts at that point in time. Mr. Grohl did a great job with his keynote at SXSW, and it was great getting to see him talk about his love for music and what it means to him personally.
