Suitable speakers for speech and music reproduction are the subject of research, development and application since decades, both in recording studios as well as for the listener at home. It was always about the appropriate sound field, produced by one or more speakers in the room. The arrangement of several speakers in stereo and multi-channel technology often reaches limits. On the other hand a flat speaker as an element of interior design opens new possibilities. About dimensions, sound pressure level and arrangement in the room have been reported.
