Simone Corelli (standing) is showing and explaining some typical annotated documents of film editing.
A late morning meeting with Dr. Simone Corelli has been arranged in Milan by the AES Italian section, CESMA and GTCS.
Simone provided the numerous and conspicuously interested audience with a comprehensive description of the workflow of cinematographic sound, starting from boom operator and location sound mixer, through foley artist, composer, dialog editor, etc. up to the rerecording sound mixer. Here all the "ingredients" come finally together and they are carefully selected and considered as a whole to suit the movie's needs.
After his talk, Simone answered many questions on his hands-on experience as rerecording sound mixer and there was room also to show participants a short excerpt from a costume drama in 7/8 different processing phases, from raw direct sound to the final mixed version of the movie.
