AES was pleased to welcome Ken Platz, Scott Grinker, and Lindsay Spanjer from Shure, Inc. for a pair of presentations. First, Ken gave an overview of Shure, emphasizing how the company works together to create new products. Ken closed out his talk by giving a few professional interview tips - specifically relating what he looks for when interviewing prospective Shure employees. Scott Grinker followed with a presentation that demonstrated the impact his Penn State coursework has had on real-world audio engineering work. To emphasize, Scott talked about projects at Shure that he had completed building upon topics taught in the core ACS classes. Scott recently graduated with his Master's degree from the Graduate Program in Acoustics.
