Summary

Chuck Nemitz, a sales representative from Bose visits for a truly astonishing demonstration. He brought with him the Bose L1 Model 2 Personal Amplification System. The crowd of about 50 was thoroughly impressed when he picked up his standard Shure Beta 58 microphone, set the volume of the system to a normal operating volume, and proceeded to point the microphone directly at the speaker array, moving it to about four feet, then two feet then finally at about one foot, the System finally fed back. He then played some music through an iPod through it. He invited the crowd to stand up and walk around the room. Walking around the room, the attendees were shocked to find out that the system spreads the sound remarkably evenly all around the room, and the volume dropoff is impressively small. The volume at the stage was very close to the volume at the back of room (approx. 40 feet). Not to mention, this entire system breaks down into three portable items that would easily fit into the trunk of any car. It was a truly remarkable piece of equipment, and we were delighted to have Chuck here to demonstrate it for us.
