Summary

Stan Sollars professor of TCOM at Ball State presented on the history and development of audio for film and the revolution of surround sound. He talked about the use of surround sound in music and gave historical examples of its use, as well as some of his own personal techniques.

He then showed us an example of a student film project and discussed some basic elements and issues when mixing for film.
