Congratulations and welcome to the new members of the AES Los Angeles Section’s Executive Committee, Michael Peters, Joseph Schwartz and Alex Tinsley.
AES-LA thanks the outgoing members J. Todd Baker, George Biner, and Ron Streicher for their hard work and contributions to our society.
- Also reelected were Joe Carter as Section Secretary and Richard Wollrich as Section Treasurer.
Members also voted to pass a clarifying amendment to the Bylaws of the Los Angeles Section.
In order to remove a possible ambiguity in the interpretation of Paragraph 3b of Article IV, the Bylaws of the Los Angeles Section shall be amended as follows:
- DELETE the existing Paragraph 3b of Article IV: Any SECTION Officers may, with two-thirds majority approval of the SECTION Executive Committee, extend their term of office for one additional year without the need for formal reelection.
- and REPLACE it with the following paragraph: The Chair and/or Vice Chair may, with two-thirds majority approval of the SECTION Executive Committee, extend their term of office for one year (not to exceed a total term of two years) without the need for formal reelection.
