To AES members in the Central Indiana area:

To bring you up-to-date, the Central Indiana Section of the Audio Engineering Society (AES) has experienced some unexpected circumstances that have resulted in the Section being inactive for over a year. 

At this point, however, things appear to be back on track to re-establish an active and viable Section including local activities.  A number of exciting events are in the early planning stages but, before we get too far along, we feel it is very important to get your input in order to have an effective program and to help address some of your professional needs.  So, we are asking that you complete the Section survey, accessible via this link:

With the tight economic times, including many cutbacks in travel (to conventions, etc.) we feel our Section can offer some local opportunities that can help keep you current in the audio field and contribute to your overall professional growth.

For AES members who never have attended a Section event, please be aware that you are always welcome at any AES activity.  And, in case you may be wondering, there is no additional fee or other requirement to participate in the Central Indiana Section activities; they are included in your AES membership. 

The core group of remaining officers is committed to re-establishing the Central Indiana Section.  In addition to regular Section meeting-type events, we will need to have an election of officers relatively soon.  We are always seeking new people for these positions – particularly those who could assist the Section organizationally or through one’s technical background or through business contacts.  If you could share your expertise in any of these areas, please consider a position in the Section management.
