An expert in interactive audio, and a notable pioneer and advocate of Ambisonics. Simon was on the committee that created the AES Audio For Games international conferences, where he has presented talks and papers as well as sharing in their organisation.
He has been making state-of-the art commercial games and supporting technologies for more than 35 years, including multi-million-selling award-winning chart-topping titles, and also contributed to the design and development of audio software shipped by Dolby, DTS, Sony, Microsoft and others.

Previously worked for (among others) Amiga Inc, Argus Press, Attention to Detail, Central ITV, Digital Precision, DkTronics, Quicksilva and Racal as a programmer and technical writer, and in a freelance capacity for many broadcasters, magazines and software publishers, 1979..date.
Now a consultant in interactive audio tech, based in Warwick, UK.
Responsible for the audio technology in over 20 million shipped games for consoles, mobile platforms and PCs. Expert speaker on interactive audio at AES conferences, many UK universities, and the US Game Developers' Conference GDC. Participant in past and current AHRC and EPSRC audio research projects.
