I am a writer and audio consultant. My experience in the audio business dates back to 1989, when I joined the staff of Video magazine. Since then, I've worked at publications such as Home Theater, Sound & Vision, SoundStage and Wirecutter; written for dozens more; and also served as marketing director for Dolby Labs. I have also worked as a consultant for many consumer electronics and audio companies, specializing in voicing of active products such as soundbars and Bluetooth speakers, and designing measurement and listening test protocols for R&D and QC.
