Xiaoli Zhong studied physics at the Central China Normal University, Wuhan, China, and received a Master's degree in Condensed Matter Physics in 1999. Since 1999, she has worked as a teacher and researcher at the South China University of Technology. She received a Doctor's degree in Circuit and System in 2006. From 2009.7 to 2010.7, she has been a visiting scholar at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, NY, USA.Dr. Zhong's present research interests include binaural hearing, virtual auditory display, and Psychoacoustics. She has authored or coauthored more than 60 journal and conference papers on head-related transfer function and virtual sound reproduction. She is a member of ASA and a senior member of the Acoustical Society of China.
