In 2009, Omid has moved to the United States and despite his unrelated professional background, his unbridled passion for audio led him back to university to obtain an Electronics Engineering degree and a position as Harman's Audio Engineering intern in November 2015. During his internship, Omid established himself as a valuable contributor to the Harman's R&D team working closely with the Sr. Principle Acoustic Engineer and Acoustic Research Fellow which led him to be a co-author of two AES papers. In April of 2016, Harman has hired Omid as an Acoustic Engineer. Since then, Omid has co-authored another three AES papers, one of which has won the best peer-reviewed AES paper award. Omid's work is focused on objective and subjective tests and research on the perception and measurement of loudspeakers, headphones, room acoustics and automotive audio.
