Harman International - Hardware Developer

Responsibilities:
- Development of new automotive audio amplifiers starting with standard 2 channel concepts up to high end 32 (and more) channel solutions
- Design HW circuits according to specifications, standards and customer regulations
- Contribute to technical specifications
- Collaborate with developers at other Harman sites worldwide
- Cooperation with quality, production, supplier, customer, mechanics & software development
- Dimensioning of DC-DC converter in a power range of 5W – 1000W
- Verification of the design to meet the requirements
- Join on site HW bring up workshops on several sites
- Support maintenance of existing products
Qualification:
- Master or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering or a related technical discipline
- Knowledge of EMC-compliant circuit design
- Knowledge of Ethernet, A2B, CAN and MOST bus systems
- Knowledge of the automotive industry requirements including EMC and thermal design
Experience:
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in experience in the development of automotive audio amplifiers, DC / DC converters and digital circuits (MCU, DSP)
- Experience in circuit simulation with PSpice
- Experience in thermo simulations would be highly preferred
Skills:
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English and preferably German
- Flexible in terms of tasks and responsibility
- Ability to build relations and work independently
- Self-motivated, passionate about audio and high sense of responsibility
