Harman International - Sales and Operations Associate- Inside Sales Western Region

Essential Responsibilities:

Harman Embedded Audio, LLC is an Indianapolis based US Company specializing in OEM/ODM acoustic products, and is currently seeking an Inside Sales person to support our company’s revenue growth in our OEM Acoustics, Branded Audio and Automotive Microphone divisions with customers located in the Western Region of the USA.
Harman Embedded Audio’s corporate headquarters is located in Shenzhen, China. Currently, the corporate office in Indianapolis drives all sales and marketing efforts.
The key objective for this sales role is to support our sales team in the Western Region of the USA who sell acoustic components and acoustic subassemblies to our valued customer base.
•Work on quarterly and annual cost quoting for customers in the region
•Fill out and manage customer commercial paperwork
•Work with operations to support specific material consignment requirements
•Work with hub/replenishment accounts in the region
•Manage customer supplier portals for necessary purchase order status
•Create and manage storage portals for customer quotes
•Prepare and ship samples to customers in the Western Region
•Prepare forecasts for Finance group
•Monitor global hub withdrawals versus plans/forecasts for key customer accounts in region
•Submit weekly pipeline report to Director and Manager of Engineering Team.
•Manage and track sample requests (SSR) to ensure they are delivered to customers in a timely manner and information is retained.
•Assist Global Director of Sales and Western Key Account team with the creation of quotes


Basic Qualifications:

•College degree or higher
•2 years CSR experience
•Excellent organizational skills
•Mastery of Microsoft Office Software tools (Excel)

Desired Characteristics:

•2 years in related industry is desired
•2 years CSR experience is required
•Working knowledge of manufacturing processes in Asia
•Previous experience with inside sales and supporting customer satisfaction
•Experience with electrical, acoustical components and subsystems
•Strong communication skills, organization and problem solving skills
•Must have the ability to interact with customers and functional groups within Harman International globally
•Ability to successfully manage multiple projects concurrently

•Willingness to work in our Palo Alto, CA office
