QSC, LLC - Cinema Sales Engineer, APAC

The primary responsibility of the Cinema Sales Engineer, APAC is to support the selling efforts of the Cinema Division by providing product support to Cinema dealers, distributors and exhibitors in the Asia Pacific Region. This position requires broad and comprehensive experience, skill and knowledge of the organization’s products, policies and practices. Must be able to handle sensitive information discreetly and confidentially. Must be able to work professionally with all levels of employees and interface well with external professionals, dealers, contractors and exhibitors. The candidate for this position must possess exceptional communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

•Provide product support to dealers, distributors, exhibitors and other various associations as required.
•Generate profits through the sales of company products and services to all classes of customers as defined.
•Monitor industry and competitive market shifts and coordinate with the sales and product managers.
•Coordinate sales leads with the sales managers.
•Build consultative relationships within existing and new customers in the cinema community.
•Train and aid dealers and exhibitors in the design, installation and setup of QSC and USL cinema systems.
•Develop and deploy advanced systems for the cinema market, such as Q-SYS.
•Participate in national, international, regional and local trade shows, seminars and customer product training.
•Travel in the field, calling on dealers and exhibitors to bring ideas, concerns and comments to the attention of the QSC’s sales and marketing team.
•Maintain database for pending and active projects.
•Provide system designs and drawings for customer projects as needed.
•Prepare written correspondence, documents, special reports, presentation materials and other documents in appropriate formats using word processing, spreadsheet and/or power point.
•Work on any special projects as requested/assigned by the Director of Global Cinema Sales or Business Unit head.
•Assist all members of the Cinema department as necessary to achieve the department’s performance goals as well as QSC corporate goals.

Qualifications

•Minimum 10 years experience in the professional cinema industry.
•Must be familiar with installation and operation of D-Cinema sound and projection systems including but not limited to: projectors, servers, IMB’s, processors, amplifiers, speakers, closed captioning, assisted listening, TMS and general cinema networks and automation.
•Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
•Available to travel approximately 1 week per month, both international and domestic
•Detail oriented
•Possesses strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint), CAD and Q-SYS Designer
•Proficiency with Internet browsers and search engines
•Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting specific deadlines
•Excellent writing and editing skills
•Creative, motivated and quick learner
•Ability to make decisions within designated area of responsibility
