For our »Multimedia Applications« team in the »Audio and Media Technologies« division in Erlangen we are currently looking for a Software developer (f/m) Multimedia applications
Are you passionate about multimedia applications? Have you always wanted to take part in international research projects and help shape the technologies of tomorrow in this field?
If so, we have the perfect position for you!
Working with us, you will have the opportunity to design and optimize audio and video transmission systems. You will also develop prototypes and application software for multimedia applications.

About us

The Fraunhofer IIS »Audio and Media Technologies« division has been making its mark on media digitalization for over 30 years, developing pioneering standards such as mp3 und AAC. The latest Fraunhofer IIS technologies open up new acoustic possibilities, with applications in virtual reality, automotive sound systems and mobile telephony, as well as broadcast radio and streaming.

What we expect from you

- A scientific degree in electronics, computer science or a related subject
- Sound knowledge of programming languages, particularly C/C++
- Basic experience of application software development in Linux, Windows, OS X, iOS or Android
- Knowledge of German and English for work in an international team
Basic knowledge of digital signal processing and network technology is also an advantage, as is experience in working with audio, video and network APIs in Linux, Windows, OS X, iOS or Android.

The Fraunhofer IIS Audio and Multimedia division, based in Erlangen, Germany, has been working in audio coding technology for more than 25 years and remains a leading innovator of technologies for cutting-edge multimedia systems.
