Fraunhofer IIS - Developer (f/m) — Production Software Film / Television

Do you want to shape the multimedia production of the future?
In that case, we have the right job for you!
Working for us, you will have the chance to develop the production software for the next generation of multimedia formats. You will plan and design software architectures and create, implement, and test graphic user interfaces. In addition, you will implement software modules across platforms together with an international team. Our software, and thus your software, will be used worldwide in the field of professional film production and film postproduction.

About us

The Moving Picture Technologies Department develops new technologies for film and television production to provide film producers and artists with new options for multimedia design and narrative style. The »Digital Cinema« group conducts research into new multimedia formats for use in professional film postproduction right up to the playout in the cinema or the handover to streaming services.

What we expect from you

- A degree in Computer Sciences, Media Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable engineering or natural science subject
- Well-versed in C/C++ programming
- Sound knowledge of Visual Studio / Xcode
- Familiarity with common multimedia formats
- Knowledge in Qt would be an advantage
- Good command of spoken and written English
The position is also suitable for career entrants with corresponding prior knowledge and relevant experience gained during work experience placements, student research projects, or theses.
