LOUD Audio’s engineering team is seeking an acoustic engineer to join the design engineering team. This role will be responsible to design and architect loudspeaker systems, research technologies, and design integrated systems. Depending on the level of experience, this role may work on general or advanced product designs and may contribute to the research and development of new technologies.
･Design and development loudspeaker products with a focus on system integration; specifically the design of enclosures and the integration of transducers, horns, electronics, software, etc.
･Design and development of ancillary components integral to loudspeaker systems
･Acquire data on new and existing loudspeaker designs utilizing standard and custom lab equipment
･Assist with research of new loudspeaker, amplifier, and/or digital signal processing technologies
･Translate product requirements into detailed functional specifications that document the development process and support product introduction
･Consult with engineers and product managers on existing and potential engineering projects and products
･Design, troubleshoot and validate technical designs
･Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve system, equipment, or product failures
･Compile data and information, present findings and report on engineering studies and projects
･Maintain laboratory equipment and prepare installation and repair services as needed
･Prepare specifications for purchases of materials or equipment
･Prepare required documentation for industry standard compliance and certifications
･Assemble and disassemble prototype loudspeaker systems
･May train personnel on proper operational procedures
･Demonstrate ownership in the shared success of the organization
･Drive projects to completion in partnership with diverse teams across geographies
･Take on other duties as assigned
･BS in Acoustic, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with 0-5 years of professional acoustics experience
･Advanced knowledge of professional loudspeaker system operation and design
･Advanced analysis and reporting and a passion for the audio industry
･Regular office hours with occasional work during non-business hours as required
･Occasional domestic and international travel required
･Exposure to high-levels of music and/or other audio signals for which hearing protection may be required
･Ability to lift up to 50lbs and ability to work standing for extended periods of time
