Location: Remote - Western half of U.S.A.
The “Advanced Applications Engineer” will provide the highest level of field support to our global channel partners, consultants and prospective users by providing advanced system training, design, deployment, programming, third-party integration, and troubleshooting. The Advanced Applications Engineer will also work closely and collaboratively with all the Systems Sales Directors to ensure key accounts experience a high level of support.
Bachelors of Science degree in a technical/engineering discipline, or equivalent experience.
Minimum 5-year experience in the professional audio industry..
Experience as a Sound Contractor and/or Consultant are highly desirable.
Must be fluent with computer technologies, networked audio systems, and DSP technology.
Audio industry certifications in CTS, CTS-I, or CTS-D is required.
IT industry networking certifications such as CCNA, CCDA or equivalent is desirable.
Experience with LUA scripting or similar is desirable.
Experience with third party control integration (AMX, Crestron etc) is highly desirable.
Experience with Unified Communications systems (Cisco, Avaya, Polycom etc) is desirable.
Possess strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel & PPT).
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting specific deadlines is required.
Excellent written, verbal & presentation skills.
Excellent interpersonal & communication skills.
Ability to make decisions within designated area of responsibility.
Strong leadership & mentoring abilities.
This position will cover the Western half of the U.S.A.
Solve demanding Pre and Post sales Advanced Application problems.
Document and brings software solutions to R&D to be productized.
Manage any third-party interface requirements for large scale projects, including (but not limited to), AMX, Crestron, Show Control, Message Assembly, FIDS, BIDS, Legacy Paging systems, Cisco Stadium Vision, Cisco Call Manager, Avaya Aura, etc.
Develop Quick Setup Guides for the above.
Provide guidance on Advanced Level training curriculum.
Provide Advanced-level Seminars and presentations as required.
Represent QSC on any technology forums or groups relating to networked DSP.
Coordinate any sales opportunities that arise with the Sales Department.
Provide Mentoring to other Systems Application Engineers within the organization.
Assist and influence product Development by acquiring and reporting application, use-case and customer requirements information.
Keep Engineering, Marketing, Product Development, Technical Services and Quality Assurance divisions informed, in writing, of any product problems, opportunities, software bugs or emerging customer needs.
Reinforce QSC’s credibility within the Pro Audio community.
