Working closely alongside a small team of mechanical, electroacoustic and electronics engineers, this role will evolve to having responsibility over the design of all of ATC’s electronics circuitry in to the future. It is expected that within this role, you will build on an existing product range, while also developing new world class audio products for both the professional audio and HiFi markets.
A passion for audio with a focus on high performance, low noise and distortion analogue audio electronics is essential.
The role is to be based at the ATC factory in Stroud.
- Minimum industry experience of 5 years.
- Minimum BSc/MSc in electronics.
The ideal candidate would have an understanding of the following areas:
1. Operational Amplifiers.
2. Discrete circuitry.
3. P.C.B. design.
4. R.I.A.A. Equalisation.
6. Headphone Amplifiers.
7. Lateral Mosfets.
8. Boost, Buck Switched Mode regulators.
9. Power Amplifier Output Stage Topologies.
10. Power Amplifier Load considerations.
11. Bode response of Audio Amplifiers.
12. Distortion analysis.
13. Bridged Output Stages.
14. Balanced Input stages:
15. Surface Mount technology.
16. RC5, RC5 extended protocol.
17. PIC software and Programming.
18. Processor programming.
19. Test equipment.
22. Artwork preparation.
23. SPICE analysis.
24. EMC and EMI experience.
25. Test House approvals experience.
27. USB interfaces.
29. I2C, I2S bus.
