Senior Embedded Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated individual for a senior embedded systems development position focused on iZotope's current and future hardware products. Qualified applications should have in-depth knowledge and demonstrable experience providing technical leadership for a small team of embedded software and hardware engineers; designing, developing and debugging embedded systems in C/C++ and Assembler; and a passion for music and audio technology. Preferred candidates will have prior experience developing hardware products for audio applications and be familiar with trends in our industry.


Responsibilities will include:

Technical leadership for a new team of internal and contract engineers focused on iZotope's hardware products
Working closely with product and project management to define, architect and implement embedded systems for iZotope's audio hardware products
Working with senior engineers from other teams to define and uphold engineering best practices company-wide
Prototyping and development of new product concepts, and supporting existing products in the market
Leading a team through successful product development and release cycles


Required Qualifications:

BS Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent
5 or more years of C/C++ and Assembler development experience
Prior experience in an embedded systems engineering role
Working knowledge of DSP
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
Team leader


Preferred Qualifications:

Experience developing for the ARM family of processors and/or experience with FPGA configuration and design
Experience developing hardware products for audio and music applications
Experience working with product managers to define and implement product requirements
Experience with Agile software development using Scrum
Experience with desktop software development using Microsoft Visual Studio and/or Apple Xcode
Experience with GIT


This position is located in our corporate headquarters in Cambridge, MA. We will offer full relocation for the right candidate. We will also consider a bi-coastal arrangement with weekly travel to Massachusetts or other unique accommodations. Must be able to work in the United States.

Product Manager

Unlike an iZotope Product Designer, who is focused on the “how” of developing compelling user experiences and workflows within the implementation of a product, the iZotope Product Manager is focused more on “why” the company should develop the product, connecting to our company vision and strategic outcomes.

Regarding the responsibilities of the iZotope Product Manager, the product development pipeline proceeds as follows, following an Agile Scrum methodology:
• The Product Manager collaborates with stakeholders to develop business justifications for new products or updates to existing products.
• If approved, the PM will further a business justification into a more elaborate and detailed Release Plan, which includes the development of a prioritized and estimated release backlog of user stories, achieved only through close collaboration with a product team.
• Once a Release Plan is authorized by stakeholders, the Product Manager is responsible for recurring Sprint Planning and will working closely with Product Designers to develop features and workflows from user stories.
• Throughout the release, Product Managers will keep the team and stakeholders aligned on product release goals.
• Product Managers will work closely with Marketing to produce product launch deliverables and campaigns.
• Product Managers will be responsible for multiple products within a business segment, and will continually track the health of released products.


Product Manager candidates will have 3-5 years of relevant experience in one or more of our target markets.

Software Engineer in Test - Devices

Required Qualifications:

4 or more years’ experience in Software Quality Engineering

Excellent knowledge of current web technologies
Experience testing across multiple mobile devices and platforms

Responsibilities:

• Provide a clear roadmap of department and team growth including staffing, process improvements, technology, training requirements, etc. that will improve customer satisfaction or reduce cost of support.
• Build and lead teams of individual contributors in a 7x24x365 global customer and technical support environment.
• Responsible for day to day operations for all customer care teams. Supporting all necessary delivery channels including phone, email and social media.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to develop clear business strategies to help achieve organizational goals.
• A minimum of 5-10 years experience in a hi-tech customer service environment, preferably in the audio industry, with thorough understanding of customer service tools, systems, and processes.
• Proven track record leading and managing high functioning customer service teams. Ability to grow and develop individual contributors.
• Demonstrated success building and leading a customer care team for both software and hardware product lines in a customer first organization.
