Acoustic Design Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Acoustic Design Engineer to be involved with the acoustic, mechanical and electronic design for active (ambient) noise cancellation (ANC) applications, such as headphone, ear buds and automotive. The person filling this role will take an active part in implementing the overall strategy for ANC features.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting project management including definition of project scope and schedule for assigned projects.
• Design of acoustic, mechanical and electronic characteristics of ANC headphones, ear buds for different types of controllers (feed-forward, feedback and hybrid)
• Work closely with research team members on the development of new IP for ANC processing solutions in the form of invention report submissions.

Required Skills:

• Master's degree in acoustic, control or electrical engineering with hands on experience on ANC product design
• Experience bringing design to final products and knowledge of the necessary production line tests and tuning of ANC products
• Solid background knowledge in digital signal processing and mathematics
• Willing to solve the challenging problems in the field of ANC
• Strong knowledge and extensive working experience with Matlab for algorithm test and GUI design
• Experience in analyzing audio problems using tools such as Matlab, Adobe Audition and objective evaluation tools
• Ability to work without close supervision

Audio Researcher - ANC

We are looking for a Senior Audio Researcher to be involved with the design and improvement of algorithmic solutions for active (ambient) noise cancellation (ANC) applications such as headphone, ear bud and automotive. The person filling this role will take an active part in implementing the overall strategy for ANC features.

Audio DSP Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Audio DSP Engineer who will be primarily involved with DSP software implementation of algorithmic solutions for audio.

Key Responsibilities:

• Writing, debugging, optimizing and testing of Matlab, embedded C and assembly source code with an emphasis on audio applications
• Maintenance and improvement of existing audio algorithm code base including audio CODEC design and development, music enhancement, dynamic range control, acoustic event detection, packet loss compensation, and other audio enhancements

• Experience using Matlab
• Knowledge of fixed-point DSP programming

Audio Validation Engineer

This position is in charge of defining and performing audio validation tests for CSR voice and music based processing software along with maintenance and extension of the audio test system.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute validation plans and procedures on audio processing algorithms.
• Tuning of CSR audio processing algorithms using objective and subjective analysis.
• Actively test, interpret, analyze and report on the performance of audio processing algorithms.
• Evaluate and implement methods that relate subjective performance to objective metrics.

• Provide written and oral test reports.

Required Skills:

• Basic understanding of sampling theory and DSP signal processing
