Transportation
As the major hub in Northern Europe, Copenhagen can be easily reached
by air, in most cases non-stop from the major cities in Europe, and
from many cities around the world. It is also easily reached by road,
and new road and railway bridges connect the island to mainland Europe,
and to Sweden. Excellent, fast train services connect most major
European cities to Copenhagen.
Hiller�d is situated north of Copenhagen, a 55 km drive or a 1-hour
train ride from Copenhagen Airport. Taxis are available around the
clock. Car rental is available through all major companies.
By air and train : The most convenient means of
transportation from Copenhagen Airport to the conference venue in the
city of Hiller�d is by train.
In daytimes, trains depart from Terminal 3 of the airport at 10 minutes
interval. During evenings and nights intervals are 20 min and 1 h
respectively. Tickets must be bought at the airport; price app. DKK
60,-.
Take a train with the destination Helsing�r or Niv�. At the
Copenhagen Central Station you can change to a local S-train line A or
E with the destination Hiller�d. However, it may be more convenient to
postpone the change to the smaller, less crowded Hellerup station
(third station after the Central Station). Use the underpass (lifts
provided) to the track labelled 'Hiller�d'. After 5 - 10 minutes a
train for Hiller�d will arrive. The total travelling time Copenhagen
Airport-Hiller�d will be app. 1 h.
For travelling from the station to 'Pharmakon', taxis will be available
at the station - or call 'TAXINORD' at 4583 8383. Taxis have meters and
English speaking drivers, who can estimate a price for the distance.
Bus no. 325 to Milnersvej is also available.
