The paper includes facility designs of the Singapore Polytechnic and Leeds Metropolitan University, which were designed by the author to support the teaching and learning of music, sound, and multimedia programs. The focus is on surround sound in education and how these various facilities function within an educational context. The paper also includes the conceptual and detailed design of the facilities and how they are used within education as a critical listening and mixing environment for surround sound.
