GRAMMY®-winning R&B/pop singer/songwriter James Fauntleroy and GRAMMY-winning producer/musician Larrance “Rance” Dopson from 1500 or Nothin’ created The 1500 Sound Academy which serves as a bridge between school and a potential career in the music business teaching kids the necessary knowledge and tools they need to succeed in the modern-day. Starting on June 10th, the academy began another iteration of its 6-month certificate program accepting 32 students. In addition to Fauntleroy and Dopson who will be guest lecturing, several of their industry friends (Kendrick Lamar, Snoop Dogg, George Clinton, P. Diddy) have already been visiting 1500 Sound Academy classes as guest lecturers.
