Bjørn Kolbrek received his Bachelors Degree in electronic engineering from Høgskolen I Telemark in 2002, and worked from 2003 to 2010 as an electronics R&D engineer. He obtained an M.Sc. degree from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in 2013 on the topic of acoustic horn simulation, and a in Ph.D. degree from NTNU in 2016 on horn loudspeaker simulation using the Mode Matching Method. He is currently employed as an R&D engineer at Celestion International, UK. His other interests include music, design of audio equipment, and the history of electroacoustics.
