Jon Boley, Ph.D. is a research program manager and senior scientist at GN Advanced Science, where he leads research to push the limits of tiny audio systems (aka "hearables"). His research involves psychoacoustics, neuroscience, electroacoustics, and signal processing.
Prior to joining GN, Jon’s research focused on neural coding of acoustic phase, and its importance for the cocktail party effect. He also spent a few years working as a DSP engineer at Motorola and Shure. He has a BS in Electrical Engineering (Univ of Illinois), an MS in Music Engineering (Univ of Miami), and a PhD in Biomedical Engineering (Purdue Univ).
