TT2 - Ferber Studios

Abstract:
In 1973 René Ameline, a very well known sound recording engineer, created the Ferber Sudios in the heart of the “La Campagne à Paris” district. Created with a remarkable acoustic environment by this three times Grammy award winner, the Ferber Studios quickly became a place of reference. To this day they remain the place to go for music and film music recording. Over the past 40 years since their creation, many of the world’s greatest artists have made their way to the Ferber Studios. Right from the start many French singers and musicians such as, Christophe, Salvator Adamo, Bernard Lavilliers became regulars, joined by Marc Cerrone, Jean-Michel Jarre, Michel Petrucciani, Richard Galliano, with frequent visits from Serge Gainsbourg, Jacques Dutronc, Claude Nougaro; Alain Suchon, Juliette Greco, Charles Aznavour, Henri Salvador, Francis Cabrel, plus of course Manu Chao, Noir Désir, Alain Bashung, Philippe Katerine, Vanessa Paradis, OxmoPuccino, Martin Solveig, and many others. Many international artistes such as Cat Stevens, Frank Zappa, Nina Simone, Black Sabbath, Iggy Pop, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, John McLaughlin, Al Di Meola , Paco de Lucia, Luz Casal, Bryan ferry, but alsoFeist, ConnanMockasin, Lianne la Havas, The Kills , Franz Ferdinand, Saul Williams, or Chilly Gonzales, Neil Young, also use the
exceptional facilities and benefit from the ambience of the Ferber studios. The Ferber Studios are also highly sought after venue for the recording of film music, television series and
advertising, favored by composers and arrangers such as Gabriel Yared, Alexandre Desplat, Serge Gainsbourg, Jean-Claude Vannier, June Miyake, Brunio Coulais, Emir Kusturica, Eric Neveux, to name but a few! Films and television series recorded at the Ferber Studios include “Peur sur la ville,” “Elisa,” “Gainsbouirg Vie Héroïque,” “Les Enfants du Rock,” Len Ben & Berthie Show.” Nowadays, the Ferber Studios are developing further and also offer facilities and services in the areas of professional audio maintenance, control rooms for studio musicians, film and television filming, and photo sessions–particularly for the fashion sector.
