Matt Larson

Matt Larson

Primary Affiliation: DiGiCo, XTA, MC2 - National Sales Manager - Farmingdale, NY, USA

He started at a young age learning what he could by asking many questions and even attended his first AES show in 1985.

Working with many regional musicians, sound companies and with an electronics degree he now has over 35 years of hands-on industry experience.

Live Sound part of life was spent touring with some of the largest bands in the world that included a 7 year run with Prince and other parts of life in a dim lit recording studio, recording many timeless hits (and some not so much).

After many years touring he had an opportunity to get into a manufacturing & sales roll working with Halliburton/Anvil for 7 years and then was brought on with Telex/Bosch as the Sales Manager-Americas for Midas & Klark Teknik for 8 years focused on Sales and Product Management of the brands. This past experience was a perfect fit for the current roll as National Sales Manager position with Group One Limited, the US distributor of DiGiCo, XTA & MC2 since 2008.

Although in sales, he really is all about teaching anyone that wants to learn and talk about audio, not only DiGiCo, but about mixing music and how to achieve what you need. This is where he uses his experience to help train everyone from full time audio professionals to volunteers with no audio background using his two key principles - we can all learn from one another and that there is no dumb question.
