Amy Burr, Studio Manager of Larrabee Sound Studios, is a 22 year industry veteran. She started her career as a receptionist at the world renowned Record Plant under the mentorship of the iconic Rose Mann-Cherney, and eventually worked her way up to become both Studio Manager and Vice President.
During Amy's tenure, Record Plant won multiple TEC Awards for Studio of the Year, while hosting the top multi-platinum and Grammy Award winning artists, producers and engineers of the day.
Amy also booked and managed The Backyard Studios, where she coordinated productions for JUNO nominated Producer of the Year, Stuart Brawley.
After adding, "Mother" to her resume, Amy was recruited by the esteemed Larrabee Studios to come on-board and help re-establish it as a commercial facility with the addition of a new production room and a glamorous new tracking/mix room.
In a time when much of the the recording studio industry is struggling, Larrabee Studios has continued to thrive and grow under Amy's management.
This year, she started things off with a Mix Magazine cover for Larrabee Studios, followed by multiple TEC, Pensado and Grammy Awards nominations and wins for many of the songs crafted there.
She will finish the year with the launch of yet another new tracking studio under the Larrabee umbrella, and looks forward to meeting new challenges in 2015.
