Marc Gallo was born in Brooklyn, NY and is the CEO of Studio Devil, LLC, a company that produces digital audio processing software specializing in vacuum tube and guitar amplifier modeling technologies. Founded in 2006, Studio Devil introduced its patented tube-modeling algorithms into several award-winning vacuum tube modeling plug-ins that have all gone to receive international acclaim, many reviewer awards, and countless praise from musicians across the globe.
Marc's algorithms are found in many respected products from other companies including Cakewalk's SONAR Tube Leveler plug-in, Roland's SONAR Home Studio Amp Modeler VGA+, SONY’s Music Creator Amp Modeler, ESI’s UGM96 USB Sound Interface, and others. Marc produced the Guitar Amp app, one of the first amp emulations to run on the iPhone. Studio Devil and Kush Audio have also recently partnered to release faithful digital reproductions of their own prestigious equalizers, including the Clariphonic Parallel Equalizer.
Marc holds two U.S. patents on amplifier modeling technologies, including efficient methods for generating distortion digitally. He received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Polytechnic Institute of New York University in Brooklyn, New York in 2011 for research on Zero-Latency Fast Convolution Algorithms and Digital Emulation of Vacuum Tube Amplifiers.
