The AES Standards Committee (AESSC) is the organization responsible for conduct of the AES Standards Program. It publishes a number of technical standards, information documents and technical reports within the field of professional audio technology. Over 80 groups with a fully international membership are engaged in writing standards covering fields that include:

  • Digital Audio
  • Audio Preservation and Restoration
  • Acoustics
  • Interconnections
  • Networks and File Transfer

Standards Committee Meetings During Convention

Meetings of Standards Committee working groups take place starting one day prior to the opening of the convention and running throughout the convention. Standards working group meetings are open to all individuals who are materially and directly affected by the documents that may be issued under the scope of the working group. The meeting schedule will be published on the AES Standards Web site, http://www.aes.org/standards. Meetings, including Plenary meetings of the Standards Committee, are scheduled to take place in Standards Room 1 or Room 2. The schedule is subject to changes and additions which will be published on the above Web site. Daily updates may also be obtained in the Standards Facilities Room during the convention. See the posted signs for the locations of the rooms.
