Moscone CenterSAN FRANCISCO: Now approaching the final weeks of a year-long process the 125th AES Convention Committee has posted a comprehensive Calendar of Events at http://www.aes.org/events/125/ Set for Oct. 2-5 at SF’s Moscone Center, the convention is designed to guide attendees towards optimizing the pre-planning of their visits, the easy-to-navigate, full-color schedule includes program titles and abstracts, participant names and drop-down boxes of indispensable information.

“The 125th has all the markings of a watershed Convention,” remarked AES Executive Director Roger Furness. “The Committee has outdone itself in developing an expansive, informative, entertaining and extremely useful program. The Workshops, Papers, Tutorials, Technical Tours, Platinum, Broadcast, Live Sound, Student, Historical and Special Events planned for the 125th Conventions will appeal to literally every sector of the professional audio community.”

Committee Co-Chair John Strawn adds, “We are extremely proud of the way this Convention has come together.   Every member of our team has proved indispensable. The pleasure of collaborating with these selfless volunteers almost compensates for the long hours and moderately nourishing luncheons we endured. While we will be fine-tuning times, locations and participants for some events, The Calendar will provide attendees with a detailed overview of one of the most outstanding technical programs the AES has ever developed. It is indispensable for planning their Convention schedules.”

“Our Exhibition Hall will be crowded with manufacturers introducing new technology,” Roger Furness adds. “The opportunity to discuss these innovations and engage in one-on-one conversations with product developers is one of the prime attractions of AES Conventions.  This year’s event promises to provide numerous opportunities for user/developer interaction, invariably a win/win situation.”
