W10 - PROJECT MANAGEMENT IN PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

Chair:
Jeroen Langevoort, NXP Semiconductors - Nijmegen, The Netherlands

Abstract:
As car radio systems become more and more complex proper project management is key to deliver the products on time and in full to the market. The development project of a car radio system with ROM-codes and IC’s, like the LeafDice and Dirana 2, will be taken as reference. In the workshop attention will be paid to the requirements definition, risk management, and design processes within NXP. Special requirements on quality that are common in the automotive industry will be shortly touched as these are very different of those of the consumer industry. Among the deliverables of such projects is an extensive communication package for the OEM to enable them to use the system in a proper way. This includes application board and application notes.
