Recording Competition—Surround including Post

The Student Recording Competition is a highlight at each convention. A distinguished panel of judges participates in critiquing finalists in each of the categories in an interactive presentation during the convention. Student members can submit stereo and surround recordings in the categories classical, jazz/folk, pop/rock and post. Meritorious awards will be presented at the closing Student Delegate Assembly Meeting on Monday. Sponsors will include: AEA, AKG, Alesis, FutureSonic, Genelec, JBL, KIQ Productions, Lavry Engineering, Millennia Music &Media Systems, Neumann USA, Rane Corp, Schoeps, Sennheiser, Serato,Sony Media Software, Whirlwind.

2:00pm – 3:00pm Classical Surround
Judges: Martha de Francesco, David Frost, Richard King

3:15pm – 4:15pm Non Classical Surround
Judges: Kevin Killen, Ronald Prent, TBA

4:30pm – 5:30pm Post
Judges: Mike Fisher, Paul Furedi, Sue Pelino
