Abstract:
"Esteemed Guests Alan R. Pearlman and Jim Heintz Present Way Out Ware’s TimewARP 2600"

In 1970 at AES, Alan R. Pearlman introduced the ARP 2600, one of the first commercially available synthesizers. Thirty-five years later, M-Audio is proud to commemorate Mr. Pearlman's contribution to the music industry in a ceremony and presentation of the new TimewARP 2600 from Way Out Ware. Distributed worldwide by M-Audio, the TimewARP 2600 is an extremely faithful virtual emulation of the ARP 2600. Please join us for a look back at Mr. Pearlman's influential mark on 20th century music, a TimewARP 2600 demo, and a Q&A session with Mr. Pearlman; Jim Heintz, developer of the TimewARP 2600; and other special guests.
