The Gran Teatre del Liceu, the opera house of Barcelona since 1847, was rebuild in 1999 paying particular attention to the incorporation of avant-garde technological systems and the installation of the most advanced audio-visual and multimedia resources. The result is a modern theater, connected to the major communications networks, in which audiovisual technologies have a key role, with a stage and auditorium that are probably one of the best equipped in the world.
