T8: Ambiophonics Institute

This non-commercial facility demonstrated new public domain software and real-time convolvers for Ambiophonic systems. Music from ordinary 2 channel sources were reproduced via an Ambiopole, 16 large-area hall ambience Surrstat panels and two subwoofers, all installed in a computer corrected domestic music theater. Recordings made with the Ambiphone were compared with standard stereo CDs, SACDs and DVD-As.
