Student members of the AES are invited to submit recordings and scholarly work as audio engineers for international award. Presentation and selection of outstanding works will take place at the International Conventions of the AES held in Europe in the spring and in the U.S. in the fall of each year.Categories:

One submission in each category will be chosen by each Student Section of the AES or audio school for presentation for international award. This competition is only for active Student members of the AES.Deadline:
Each AES Student Section or audio school will present Scholarly Work or selected tapes and documentation during the opening meeting of the Student Delegate Assembly at the appropriate AES International Convention.Submission Format;
All recordings will be submitted on Digital Audio Tape (DAT) or CD with documentation. Scholarly work should be prepared for display on a 3' X 5' board.Documentation:
The submission form must be completed and accompany submissions. All materials must be labeled to clearly identify the Student Section, Candidate and Category. A "Title Page" should preceed all materials on a poster.Judging:
The Education Committee and the officers of the Student Delegate Assembly will select judges from the profession to comment on the submitted recordings and research. A pre-judging of recordings will narrow the submissions to a "finalists" in each category. Final judging will take place in open performances scheduled during the international conventions of the AES. Final selections for awards will be made by the Education Committee and participating Judges, and will be presented at the closing meeting of the Student Delegate Assembly at the appropriate international conventions. Judge's comment sheets will be returned with recordings to all participants.
