Sound, Light and Live Event Technology

Qualification Awarded on Completion: BSc (Hons)
Facilities: Dedicated auditorium for event creation, sound and light experimentation, and rigging training. Derby Theatre, a city-centre professional venue, plus a range of labs, for acoustics, sound technology, electronics, computing.
Exact Duration: 3 years, or 4 with a year out taking Diploma in Professional Practice
Emphasis: This is an accredited engineering course, studying the technology of the live event, and its application. Hence it covers sound, lighting, acoustics, electronics, video project, and event management.
