The convention starts in less than a week!
Fortunately it's not too late to receive the advance price discount, but
you must register by Monday,
September 29th. After that you will need to pay the higher on-site
prices at the Moscone Center.
We've got a great event lined up this year. Not only is the
list of exhibitors
quite impressive, but the technical
sessions are going to be very hard to choose between. In addition to
the interactive event
calendar we have also just added a convention
planner in PDF format so that you can print it out and start taking
notes on which sessions to attend.

up-to-date AES convention hotel availability.
Online Tutorials
The first two in a series of new-style online tutorials
are now available for viewing by members. Thanks to the good will of the
authors concerned, we are able to offer 'Concepts in Sound Quality' by
Jens Blauert, and 'Sync and Timecode' by Chris Woolf. Both of these
enable viewing of the powerpoint slides and playback of the spoken
presentation, together with convenient navigation facilities. You are
encouraged to try these and provide
us with your feedback. We hope to bring you a number of further
examples over the coming months, as they are post-produced.
On the tutorials page you will also find a
number of other presentations and articles, including a video
presentation by Malcolm Hawksford on Digital Loudspeakers, and a
tutorial on game audio tools containing code examples by Michael Kelly.
Call For Papers (126th Convention)
The AES 126th Convention Committee invites you to submit technical
papers for presentation at the upcoming convention in Munich, Germany
occurring May 7-10, 2009. The deadline for proposals is December 9th, 2008.
