116th AES Convention
May 8 - 11, 2004
Messe, Berlin
This is just a quick reminder that the one day Multichannel Symposium
entitled "The Effect of Multichannel on Radio Operation" is happening today
and that the Convention itself starts tomorrow morning here in Berlin.
You can read all of the latest information about the Convention program
on-line at www.aes.org. It's not too late to register but you
will have to do it upon arrival in the South Entrance of Messe Berlin.
25th Conference Registration Now Open
On-line registration has been opened for the 25th Conference on "Metadata for Audio",
which is taking place in London June 17-19. The conference will focus on
the state of the art, identify current issues, and explore directions for the
development of advanced metadata systems for both consumer distribution

The April Issue of the AES Journal Is Now Available Online!

This issue includes the 25th Conference
Preview and some feature articles on Loudspeakers, in addition
to the usual collection of papers and articles.
Distinguished Speakers Program Launched
Another portion of the April Journal includes an exciting
announcement about the new Distinguished Speakers Program,
but we have also listed the information on our site
here. This
program will establish a roster of touring guest lecturers who
will be available to provide technical presentations at the
meetings of local sections throughout the Society.
