116th Convention Call For Proposals Received Tremendous Response
The Call for Proposals for the AES 116th Convention
taking place May 8-11 in Berlin, Germany, turned out 240 submissions.
Thanks to all of those who submitted proposals. Acceptances will be sent
out January 15, 2004.
25th Conference Papers Proposal Deadline Extended
The deadline for the 25th Conference on Metadata for Audio
taking place in London June 17-19 has been extended to Friday, December
19. The conference will focus on the state of the art, identify current
issues, and explore directions for the development of advanced metadata
systems for both consumer distribution and business-to-business.
AES 11-2003 Call For Comments Closes
The comment period for AES11-2003, the AES recommended practice for
digital audio engineering synchronization of digital audio equipment in
studio operations has closed. Outstanding comments have been resolved
and the standard is now published and available on the web site. Many
thanks to chair Robin Caine, and all those in SC-02-05, who led the
successful revisions to this core AES digital audio standard. To view
