More and more assets are being stored as digitally encoded data within computerised systems and are being transported over networks designed to carry traffic of a very different nature. This presentation looks at the challenges of storing, transporting and accessing very analogue material, such as audio, when the underlying infrastructure is digital and computer oriented.: Specifically, the presentation examines the limitations of the classic networking models as they affect the ability to meet the requirements of this critical industry and goes on to examine how these limitations are overcome by emerging standards and models, developed from other industries.
