A Controlled-Reflection Listening Room for Multi-Channel Sound
The international Recommendations ITU-R BS.1116 and EBU Rec. R22 specify closely controlled acoustic parameters for high-quality control rooms and reference listening rooms. In addition to the usual parameters for size, shape and reverberation time, the Recommendations give the maximum allowable levels of early reflections. This paper describes the acoustic design and implementation of a room intended to meet those two sets of requirements.
