A New Sound Intensity Probe: Comparison to the Brüel & Kjaer P-P Probe
A new intensity probe consisting of a pressure (p) and a particle velocity (v) sensor has been designed and tested. The experimental results are compared with the existing Brüel and Kjaer probe. The Microflown v-sensor consists of two wires acting as both heater and sensor. The results are that the new p-v probe is as good as the B & K p-p probe.
