Document Thumbnail

This article deals with Fractal Coding, where the emphasis is put on the coding of one-dimensional signals. After a general description some extensions of the Fractal Coding are proposed. First this is an extension of the offset vector using methods of transform coding. Further the usage of windows is proposed, which have better properties than the usually used rectangular windows.
