Sound Recording Techniques for Wave Field Synthesis and Other Multichannel Sound Systems

Document Thumbnail

Research has been carried out on new sound recording techniques for reproduction with surround sound systems. It was found that it is essential to make a separation between direct sound, early reflections, and reverberation. The methods have been tested with Wave Field Synthesis reproduction, but can also be applied to more conventional multichannel reproduction systems. In this paper we focus on recording techniques for reverberation.
