Design Aspects of Transistor Power Amplifiers

The small size, high efficiency and long life of the power transistor make it very useful for compact, high power audio amplifier systems. This paper outlines the devices available for power amplifiers, two basic amplifier designs, and one fairly new approach which shows promise as a super-efficient, wide range amplifier.
