Modeling of Magnetic Hysteresis and its Influence on Harmonic Distortion in Electrodynamic Loudspeakers

Document Thumbnail

Non-linear model of an electrodynamic loudspeaker motor in view of magnetic hysteresis is proposed. Alternating voice coil flux is simulated by a hysteresis loop. Voice-coil inductance is a function of voice-coil position and voice-coil current. Harmonic distortions are derived from a solution of differential equations, describing voice-coil movement.
